In 1992,
William Steven Amitin launched No Tones Unturned Music for
the purpose of distributing the songs and recordings his
brother Michael and fellow musical cohorts had amassed over
what was then a twenty year career.
As William
has gone to his reward, Michael proudly carries the banner
of Wiliam's efforts forward. Michael D. Amitin's eclectic
song catalog and re-mastered CD's are the heart of this
website.
As a
songwriter, Amitin has had the good fortune of having his
work covered by a host of very special artists. The late
great David Ruffin of Tempatation's fame recorded Amitin's
R&B Ballad "Mornin' Sun Looks Blue." The song
was released as a single from Ruffin's first solo album
on Warner Brothers entitled "So Soon We Change."
Amitin's "Catalog" was recorded by country star
Johnny Rodriguez, and his R&B tune "Tears on My
Pillow " was recorded by none other than the great
Ms. Natalie Cole.
No Tones
Unturned Music's CD releases included such critically lauded,
diverse albums as the Seaspiders, Jemima Puddle-Duck, and
Three Party System, all which bear Amitin's songwriting
and production stamp.
